1. How will a Learnership Benefit you? |
| |
A learnership will give you the opportunity to improve existing skills and develop additional ones. The learnership includes theory learning, which will provide you with a broader understanding of why you do your work in a certain way and what the consequences of certain actions are. It may enable you to find ways of improving how you do your work.
The fact that you enter onto a learnership does not imply that you are not competent in doing your job. It will however broaden your competence base and will allow you to obtain a nationally recognised qualification.

| |
2. What are the implications when entering onto a Learnership?
| |
You have to sign a Learnership Agreement that will legally bind you to complete the learning process |
A large part of the learning process will take place in the factory |
You will have a coach/mentor assigned to you who will be able to answer questions and support you when you need it. |
A requirement to successfully complete the learnership will also depend on the time you would have spent at the training provider acquiring structured learning/theory. |
There will be both workplace and training provider assessments, with final assessments that will lead to certification. |
