Learnership Delivery Pathway | Construction Education and Training Authority

 
The learnership delivery pathway entails a procedure that has to be followed in developing learnerships for employer organisations. This has to be done in order to make sure that there is legislative compliance and adherence to CETA’s learnership funding policies.
 

1. Learnership Identification

 
This involves doing a need- analysis in order to justify the need to have a learnership in the organisation.
Identify the source of justification, i.e. WSP, Annual Report, Performance management, Sector Skills Plan, etc.
Liaison with the SDF and the Training Committee
Cost implications- CETA’s learnerships funding policy
 

2. Learnership Development

 
SDF start to liaise with CETA's
Check the availability of qualifications and unit standards
Confirm the availability of funds with CETA
Recruitment of learners
RPL (Recognition of prior Learning)
Completing learnership agreements and learnership grant application forms with CETA. This involves the employer, the provider if not employer, and the learner.
 

3. Learnership Implementation

 
This is when the learning provision starts
The learning material and resources for all envisaged unit standards, must be outcome-based and be aligned to unit standards.
Learner support that includes mentoring and coaching
Assessment
Moderation
Verification
 

4. Monitoring and Evaluation

 
The SDF and line managers perform the Quality Assurance function throughout learner selection, learning provision, assessment, moderation, verification & appeals procedures
Line managers, SDFs and CETA conduct the project evaluation to check for successes or failures.
