The Construction Education and Training Authority attended the NAFBI congress held at Gallagher Convention Centre on 16 May 2018.

The congress was of an informative nature where the was private sector, public sector and state owned entities engaged in robust debate on how these three different types of sectors can collaborate towards the same goal of optimally serving the construction industry and transformation.

Mr Robert Semenya, CETA Senior Manager; Projects stated “Skills Development is central to address issues of transformation and the amount of work that is there to be done is still massive. The CETA has extended itself to partnering with other SETAs in order to address the Skills development to be done in the country”

The Construction Seta has developed SMMEs to address issues of transformation and further collaborated with NAFBI, SAFCEC and other entities.

The congress was concluded by an awards gala dinner where women in the industry were awarded for their contribution.
