The Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA) calls upon CETA stakeholders to submit information relating to training, developing and promoting skills development, in particular skills and ABET development of employees within the workplace.
CETA acknowledges the rapport between CETA and stakeholders who support the Construction SETA to develop competitive portable skills for the sector.
For this reason, CETA is conducting research to ascertain the needs of the sector in promoting skills development.
The aim of the inquiry is to establish the extent of training in the Construction Sector and how skills development initiatives are promoted within the workplace. The information will also assist CETA to formulate a strategy for how best to meet the needs of the sector.
The information must relate to:
- What activities and planned initiatives is the company undergoing to further skills development?
- What the company is doing to develop the skills of employed persons?
- What the company is doing to develop the skills of unemployed persons?
Please submit informing documents to your nearest Regional Office by 19 March 2010.
CETA thanks you for your co-operation and looks forward to many years of continued association and working together with you.
Yours sincerely,
Petrus Maoko
