Simkhanko Bacema is an SMME formed by Mr Bannie Mkhatshwa under the CETA / Services SETA New Venture Creation programme in 2015.
Mr Bannie Mkhatshwa identified a gap in the market in terms of shortage of training and education in Nkomazi District and wanted to make a change.
Through the CETA, the entity was provided the platform to make that change and be an accredited CETA SMME, ascertaining that young people in the rural Inkomazi District receive higher learning and skills.
The CETA awarded Simkhanko Bacema Discretionary Grant for the financial year 2017/2018, allowing the SMME to train 50 learners as follows:
- Construction Supervision Level 4 ( 25 learners)
- Construction Roadworks Level 2 (25 learners)
Simkhanko Bacema also trains learners in Construction Contracting Level 2.
The entity also accredited to train with another SETA, additional to CETA.
Mr Bannie Mkhatshwa envisages tremendous growth in the next five years and seeks to extend his scope broader than just two SETAs.
