Chambers

Purpose of the Chambers

The primary purpose of the Chambers is to provide structured platforms for stakeholder participation, consultation, and collaboration within the CETA.

The Chambers represent the five (5) sub-sectors of the construction industry, namely:

  • Electrical Construction
  • Materials Manufacturing
  • Built Environment Professions
  • Roads and Civil Construction
  • Building Construction

Each Chamber serves as an advisory body that guides CETA on sector-specific skills development needs, trends, and priorities.

Through the Chambers, CETA ensures that its programmes, qualifications, and interventions remain relevant, responsive, and aligned with industry demands. The Chambers provide a forum where employers, labour, professional bodies, and government representatives can engage on matters related to skills planning, policy development, and the implementation of sectoral strategies.

Essentially, the Chambers bridge the gap between industry and the Authority, ensuring that skills development initiatives are industry-driven and contribute effectively to economic growth, employment creation, and transformation within the construction sector.
